I prefer the grey in the larger size. It's hard to really say though - with your face covered. I might prefer the blue if I saw your eyes. I love a brunette in blue.

Really fab piece on. WOW. xo

I love the grey on you. You could wear it anytime, especially at the holiday season.

Hi Makrame --

Congrats to stepping over to the magpie side...stay, it's fun! ;)

Personally I love the blue on you and if it's the more subtle of the two shades it might be an easier transition. So easy to throw it on with jeans as you've shown....

I think the smaller of the sizes looks better in the shoulder and upper body/bust region, so that's my vote.

The navy is nice IRL -- it's probably a bit more subtle than the grey, do you think? I wasn't sure.

I think I like the medium better but I can't be 100% sure -- as you say, the difference is not obvious. So I would go with whichever is most comfortable.

The grey seems to work better with the skirts you've tried here, IMO, but I know you have some other Halogen skirts, too, correct?

Another thought- can you try it under toppers if you might wear it that way? The size might matter in that case. I can (sort of) wear mine under a jacket but these are the kind of sweaters that tend to feel a bit bunchy, if you know what I mean.

I think either colour looks good; it's just a question of which is most versatile and which would be most within your comfort zone.

Thanks, everyone! Suz, thank you for sharing this find with us, and I hope I can be your sweater twin!

I like the navy IRL (it's hard to photograph) and I can barely tell the size difference between S and M. Ideally I would like to try one size up in navy but it is sold out. I added a few more photos to the first post for size and color comparison.

Love the blue; the color looks really rich.

I think I prefer the size in the gray, but hard to tell since dark colors are so hard to photograph.

You can't go wrong---keep the one that feels best!

The blue is hard to see, but to my eye is a GREAT color on you -- and this is coming from a person who wears a LOT of gray. Please compare them both in various light. As to which size: I think we would need to see photos in the gray version since dark colors are so hard to assess. But please, please consider the blue!

Ooooh! Please be my sweater twin!

I love the grey on you. I'd have ordered it myself but it was out in my size. I think the blue looks really good, too, and I know that it is actually quite subtle in person IRL (depending on the light). Since I haven't seen the grey in person I don't know about that. I can definitely recommend the comfort of this sweater. I have worn it in daytime casual outfits only so far and have felt just fine in it. No one has commented negatively.

I was going to say the same thing as Janet--I like the color and the size of the gray, though the blue is hard to see. Once you get used to being shiny, you might be surprised at how useful it is. I have a pair of gray sequined flats--completely covered with sequins--and I just pretend they are normal and wear them everywhere. I think the rest of my wardrobe is so plain that it works!

It might just be because the blue is darker and harder to see in the photograph, but I'm really liking the grey on you. I suspect the blue is lovely too and looks better in person. I like the BR better than the OM on you!

I avoided shiny clothing for a long time until the last few years. Now I'm loving all the sparkle and have become less shy of wearing it even for casual day looks. I say wear and enjoy!

I pretty much never wear anything sparkly, even though I wear lots of bright colors. I have a bit of a poison eye for anything with sequins, lurex thread etc. for myself. However, I really liked the houdnstooth sequin sweatshirt on Suz ( http://youlookfab.com/welookfab/topic/kr-br-knits ) and decided to give it a try.

Here it is (size S in navy, size M in grey; I also have grey/S). I really like the quality of the knit, and it is cotton - so no itching etc. I am unsure about whether I would really be brave enough to wear something so shiny out and about. Probably not good for work, except maybe for the casual holiday party with some trousers or a skirt. Might be good for casual parties at friends' houses or to go out for a relatively casual occasion but does it look too shiny/trying too hard?

For comparison, here is another dressy sweatshirt I recently bought - Olivia Moon from Nordstrom (about 6 times cheaper, too, but that's beside the point). I am pretty sure I will wear the OM sweatshirt to work and for on-the-go occasions. It is much thinner and not as good quality knit as BR, though.

Edited to add more photos: 3 - grey in S, 4 - grey in M, a variety of combos with navy and grey (both in S). I think the difference between sizes is almost imperceptible.
