I love the way it looks, but I agree it's more of a raincoat than a trench. The 100% polyester fabric made me feel sweaty as soon as I put it on, but it probably wouldn't affect everyone that way. It's not like a plastic bag or anything! (But it did feel a little cheap to me and I don't think it would breathe at all). It felt more like a raincoat rather than a standard trench, so if you are going for rainwear I think it would be fine.
