(The tightness is only there when arms are lifted.)</p> <p>I think the blazer looks like it has the right proportions, and looks good with your pants.</p> <p>I would probably wear this with skinnies, just because there’s added bulk at the top. I like plaid and I thought it could make a versatile topper. But there’s two things that made me decide this one goes back:</p> <p>1) it did not work as magically with most of my spring trousers and tops as I thought it would. Now that I see the formulas, I think it’s because I own more slouchy than skinny or straight pants. Did not quite feel right, see pic 1.</p> <p>2) it was tight around the upper arms as soon as I raised my arms a bit (tried to capture in pic 2). This would make it my most expensive yet least comfortable blazer. Not acceptable. </p> <p>I did like the style in general and would consider trying the same from a different brand if I was confident I could wear it with several options in my existing wardrobe. Otoh, I may wait until fall and buy a plaid/tweedy pantsuit if the trend is still going strong then. Or just sit this one out for 2019 and see what 2020 brings... </p> <p>What do you think? Do you have the same fit issue with woven blazers? Would you wear a long blazer with slouchy pants? </p>
