In my experience BR has pretty straight fits often, but haven't tried that one.

Sounds like you need a BR size Small or US4.

Thank you both. MsMaven, I was wondering if the 8 would be too big but I stuck with that size after your post. Suz, I hoped you would weigh in because I thought I once saw that style on you, loved it, and I think we have a similar build. If I found the right conversion table online, that would mean a UK 6 might fit me better. I'll have to wait and see, have ordered the 8 since the sale was about to end, and yes there's always free returns.

Sadly, no B&M carries Banana Republic here in Belgium.

Depends a bit on your frame and where you carry your weight. I have square shoulders but a small bust and slim arms. I find BR jackets tend to fit large. In UK sizes (at Boden, say) I'm typically an 8 (though occasionally a 6) but in BR I am more often in a 0 jacket. The sizing can vary even with the same style, though. I have a classic fit jacket of theirs in a 0 and have tried on several others that also fit in that size -- but one fabric I tried didn't fit in the 0 and then the 2 was too large. So...sometimes you need to try in store or accept you might make a return.

I wear either an 8 or a 10 in blazers. The two BR blazers I have currently are 10s and both very well. I have a couple of Boden blazers in 8, one seemed a bit snug, so I ordered a 10 and it’s big. I hope this helps.

Now that I think about it, from now on I think I will stay with the better-fitting BR 10.

I noticed many of you own Banana Republic blazers. They are having a sale on their EU site and I’m considering a plaid washable long and lean fit version. I’m normally between UK size 8 and 10 for upper body (between XS and S) but my limited experience with BR is that their sizes run big. Any advice on sizing for this style?

It’s the one below but then long and lean instead of classic fit.
