I wonder about this too sometimes as I've seen some jeans called BF jeans that just look like a slightly wider straight leg and aren't that slouchy in the butt area. It is a bit confusing.

The usual boyfriend cut is relaxed and slouchy in the seat, worn snugged low on the hips, and then has a tapered leg, that you roll at the bottom to make the jeans cropped.

I think relaxed fit just means baggy/slouchy all over.

Can someone explain the difference to me? I've been out of the loop for a while and trying to get back some understanding.
