I have the Dres in Golden. When I sized up I got the saggy butt. I exchanged them for my regular size and that fits much better and has minimal sagging, I don't think it shows much at all. They are very comfortable and I love the fabric.

Well, you guys have pretty much validated my decision on these, and like you Janet, I soooo wanted them from the front. As someone who is only just now dipping a toe into the distressed jeans waters, I find I'm floundering a bit. The combo of the light seat, big, unadorned pockets low on the thigh and soft denim looks (on me) like the worst kind of saggy sweatpant butt. I tried two sizes and not much help. I've gotten used to some sag on my bf's (Kut Katy and Dianas) but the structure of the denim tells a different story. Az, saggy butt is the reason I wear skinnies tighter than say, Angie. I find that gals with a cute perky butt can hang a gunny sack around their waists and stil look good, just like how models without chests are great hangers for tops. Ah well, it's part of the process of learning to dress yourself. Denise, I remember reading posts about the Camerons and not being able to find any for sale in my size (usually a 29). I was wearing a lot of Hudsons years ago for the pocket flap enhancement factor, but I don't do particularly well with lowish rises. Do the Camerons (or other TR) run TTS? I would hesitate to buy a pair on Ebay without knowing how they run. Janet, I wish you could see you like we see you! There is an advantage to having hips, and that is the ability to keep pants/tights/legging/hose up. Urghhh! I wore some cozy fleece tights Sunday under a dress and with over the knee shearling-lined boots and had to keep sneaking away to hike the tights up constantly. There is no acceptable way to do that discretely! Karymk, I hear ya! Thank god for tunics and high/low hems!

Agggh so frustrating I know! Flat rears don't look so great in BFs.. So when I wear mine I usually have to have a long topper over the butt. Part of the problem is a dropped crotch. From the backside this results in shapelessness IMO.

Oh, wait, I think I saw those ones -- I held them up, saw the faded-out butt, laughed and put them back on the shelf. I'm usually looking for ways to make my bum look a little more full, but when it comes to weird faded butt highlights, I'll pass.

The Dre golden wash looked awful on me from the back. I was so sad, because otherwise I loved them. I'm not even that much of a riveting rearsider, but the combination of big, wide-set pockets and light fading on the behind and upper thighs was deadly on my particular body, because I have wide hips and saddlebags. I also have a flattish butt, but that wasn't the issue -- it was the appearance of added width right where I absolutely do not need it.

I don't think they would be so unflattering on someone with narrower hips and slimmer thighs.

No, Az, I think Denise is right -- it's the wash on those particular ones. They create problems.

My Bradford wash ones are brilliant. They do have big pockets and they are baggy but I swear they are not unflattering on my bum.

I think it depends on how you want your jeans to fit. I have a small derriere too, and I own the Dre jeans in two different washes (but not the wash you posted). They are both baggy on the butt (one pair more so than the other), but I thought that was how they were supposed to fit. I like them that way -- it makes them look more like I borrowed them from a boy! They are a little loose all the way down, not just the seat.

I wouldn't want a baggy butt on my skinny jeans, though. That style is meant to be more snug.

Maybe all this means is that the Dre boyfriends are not for you. But I'm sure you'll find another style you like.

This wash, which was exclusive to Nordstrom and created for NAS, has some unfortunate fading on the rear. I remember these were a no-go for Janet too. I would try other Dres. I also love this True Religion Cameron jean. I wear a 26 or 27 skinny, my size in Camerons is 25.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NWT-TR.....5-X-32-OP-

These seem controversial. Some of the reviews sound similar to what you are saying.

Several Fabbers had them and felt the rear was a definite downer. Angie suggested sizing up in a couple of cases, I believe. But that wouldn't solve your problem from the sounds of it.

I have them, but in a different wash. Nobody has commented negatively on the behind fit -- they are loose, with big pockets, but I hope they're not horribly unflattering. I bought and wore them during the Boston meetup and the fabbers there gave them good reviews. So it may be partly the wash.

Ladies, I have Kut Katherines and AG Nikkis BF jeans that I love, but wanted to add a lighter, more distressed wash to my capsule. I ordered the R&B Dres on sale based on reviews and although I love them in front view, the butt is so baggy/unflattering I wondered if it is just the pair I received or if that is the cut in general. I have a pretty flat derrière, just like a boyfriend but these jeans would need long tops to be tolerable. Thoughts on fit relative to other lemming brands?
