I can also break the ban if I happen to come across one of the items on my longterm wish list: perfect white button-front shirt and/or microcheck pants and/or perfect moto jacket.</p> <p>I do love those boots....both pairs! (I can't copy/paste the ebay picture, but for those who don't know, they look like this: <a href="http://www.zappos.com/la-canadienne-tahra-brown-leather" rel="nofollow">http://www.zappos.com/la-canad.....wn-leather</a> )</p> <p>I'm so excited, and right now ok with the fact that I just bought two pairs of brown leather boots since they are different styles, both used (so I didn't kill any new animals ), both going to last a long time, and really not that expensive at a combined $134 (which is less than half the retail price of the Tahra boots). Plus, if they don't fit right I can always try to re-sell them. I'll post pictures as soon as they arrive!</p> <p>That being said, I think it might be time to self-impose a shopping ban. Taking a break would be particularly good for me as the end of the semester draws nearer and things get busier, and because my summer employment status is still in the air. For the most part I think I have all the clothes, shoes, and accessories I need for a couple months. According to Angie's list I'm still missing:</p> <p>1) white bottoms - but I have several khaki and beige bottoms, and white looks bad with my skintone<br /> 3) denim shirt - I still can't wrap my head around this style, but I'm trying. Also I'm in AZ where wearing a thick long sleeved shirt will become imaginable in a couple months.<br /> 16) flesh toned shoes<br /> 19) Blue-hued handbag</p> <p>I don't have a good reason to not get the flesh toned shoes or blue handbag, other than that I don't feel like I need them. I really don't want the white bottoms or denim shirt. As it warms up here, I want to get a yellow dress and a purple or plum dress, but I think I can wait until May for those... maybe. I used up my shopping budget for this month already before I bought the boots, and then the boots use up my April budget and part of May's, so I really shouldn't spend more on clothes until mid-May.</p> <p>Have you had a self-imposed shopping ban before? Did it work? Did you allow for exceptions? Is two months reasonable? </p>
