Glad you kept the Tims. I was suprised when I saw the photo - I was not expecting to like them! But they look interesting and fashionable. I like your phone cover too - is it wood?

You know, I was thinking about just that when you asked me earlier. The first pair is safe, it doesn't push boundaries at all. The second pair is way more fashion forward, maybe just what you (and I) need. It's hard to know what will rock your boat and what will sit unworn, and for that reason I tend to hesitate myself. Glad to hear you're loving them. Please report back later to let us know if they're taking your style to another level, you may just inspire me to push myself a bit, too, and go less safe with some of my upcoming shoe choices.

Thanks, all! Well, I am out and about in Boston right now, and funnily enough, I'm wearing the Timberlands. At first glance on my feet, I disliked them, but then suddenly had a shift. They seem much more of an interesting addition to my wardrobe (for me). Now I'm loving them. I have to say that they're not a great show for cycling in (too high), but otherwise they're comfortable and not even too hot on this summer day.

I'm not sure about the Pirlo, only because I have other booties of a similar style (buy different color). But I may be won over.

Thanks again for the feedback. I'm enjoying wearing them!

The Tims are out of the box--a bit risky perhaps, interesting, unique. The kind of friend you might be glad to have. I have several in my life! No regrets--several such human friends, that is. My Tims are arriving on Friday I think it is and I'll give you a report.

The litmus test for me is "fit" -- are they 100% comfortable? After that, if they are comfy, that generally means I will find a way to wear them a lot. I must "love" whatever stays in my closet so if I keep trying to convince myself to love an item (even though they pinch my little toe a tad) or even like an item, I know that it's probably not going to be a keeper. Keepers are often intuitive fits. And I will go to the mat for something/someone I love. No matter how many odd looks I might get!

I agree that the boots serve completely different purposes. I like them both but the Timberlands will only work in informal situations (very cute and sporty though) while the Borns could be worn in formal and informal situations. So it really depends on what you need the boots for.

If one is more comfortable than the other, then that's the one I'd pick (but my feet are very Princess and the Pea)

It ALL looks very good. WOW. Killer x3.

The Tims are more unique, fashionable and fun - but both pairs of boots could find a fab home in your style. Very different.

You need to be honest with yourself. Will you take the time to do the laces on the Tims? They are NOT an easy slip on and go shoe.

Love the jacket on you!
The footwear question is harder. My first thought was the Timberlakes are very cool looking with your boyfriend jeans. The Borns are a nice black low bootie; they fly under the radar. I think they are in different categories--the Timberlakes are a statement, the Borns an essential.

As others have already said they two pairs of shoes look different to me. First one reads as a boot and the second as a sneaker. Personally I like the boot because I'm not the biggest fan of the black shoe with white soles look. I'm also decidedly not sporty though. They both look like they fit well.
The topper looks good and I don't think it looks bulky at all. Sometimes flaps like that can misbehave and stick up funny but this one looks like it lays pretty flat.

Those sporty shoes draw the eye up and down and make you look long and lean! I like them even though I tend to go for a more refined look.

The topper looks fine, I don't think it draws undue attention to your chest because it has a diagonal line and once again I think it's lengthening.

The first pair reads more refined due to the shape of the shoe. Looks great on you.

The second pair reads sporty due to the white sole.

If it's a question of which one pair to keep I would say focus on how you will wear them - if you need a more refined one go for #1. If sporty is the need go for #2. Or go for both if budget allows.

Jacket looks great.

Here we go. First, just FYI, I was expecting the Timberlake Glastonbury to be tight in the width, but it's very comfy and roomy. On first impression, though, I thought these made my feet look like big, wide boats. But they've grown on me quite a lot! Uh-oh.

The Borns are equally comfortable and pretty cool in themselves.

I'm not sure what to do....remember that I also bought the Mephisto sneakers and am feeling like I've been quite greedy with the footwear.

Whatever looks like a 10 I will strongly consider keeping.

Bonus pic of Pleione jacket, an Angie pic that also arrived today and I'm really loving it as a light jacket or as a layering piece. Is it looking great? Fits well. Sleeves are a little long on my short arms, but I could scrunch up, or else move the button.

One thing is, the material is dark but I'm sensitive about adding bulk to my chest, and there is a flap that hits mid-breast that I don't want to detract, so I'm pointing it out. Maybe I'm overly concerned about it.

What do you think? Thanks in advance!
