Well, I wore the shoes around the house tonight, and before I knew it my heels were slipping out I also ordered the next size down, so I tried wearing those for a bit, but they're just too tight. If only there was a size 6.25... Anyway, regardless of how cute or not these flats may be, they'll be going back to zappos. I'm sure the perfect flat is out there, but I'm having a very difficult time finding it.

Kate - I think I know what you mean. I'm a shoe freak - but many times I have bought shoes that were "good enough" - I didn't really love them, but they worked and met my wardrobe needs. Needless to say, I didn't ever wear them very often - but they ended up staying in my possession waaaaay too long because I kept thinking about how practical and comfy they were - and also how much money I had spent on them! It wasn't a good thing! So . . . I say that if you don't love these shoes and feel great when putting them on - then return them. There are plenty of comfortable shoes out there that also have that "wow" factor!

I like them especially due to the comfort factor. However, I happen to think you can do better at that price range ( I'm kinda cheap when it comes to flats) especially if you are seeking for that "killer" pair.
ETA. What I'm trying to say is don't keep them if you are not 100% "in love" with them. Sometimes it takes a while to find what sings to you!

Well, as someone who absolutely can not and will not wear shoes that hurt shoes, I totally get the "comfy" part. I think they look really nice, but if you wanted to add a little extra oomph, that chianti color is fab! (And I can't stop thinking about "Silence of the Lambs" now!)

Kate, I know exactly what you're saying. I have a couple pairs of shoes that I bought thinking they would be good "basics" -- nothing extreme, nothing ruthlessly memorable. The problem is, I do not feel fab when I wear them.

Your shoes look fine to me, just saying that if you're getting an inkling that they may be a little on the safe side, you may find yourself wearing them less than you had hoped.

Whew, I'm so glad people like them (so far...)!

I have a pair of sandals I wear all the time, a pair of boots I wear all the time, but no comfy flats. These are going to be my comfy flats, I just want to make sure they're cute enough for the amount of wear they are about to get. I'd been eying them for over a month and then I found out my sister had a pair (in black) and loves them, so I decided to go for it!

Beth, I will definitely wear them! I am coming to terms with how many shoes I have that aren't comfortable enough, so after some proper editing these will likely be my only pair of closed toe flats!

Well, I love them. I wanted to get a pair in black even. But they're too wide for my feet, sigh. I think they look very nice for a ballet flat; the twist in the front keeps them from being boring for me.

I ordered these flats from Zappos: http://www.zappos.com/born-ade.....in-leather (in brown), and they are just as comfy as I knew they would be. My concern is that they are not killer. They're cute enough, but they aren't knock-out shoes. I've tried on (and even bought) cuter pairs, but these are so much comfier! However I don't want to choose comfort over fashion, I believe in the best of both worlds. So, are they cute enough to keep, or just too simple?

(I'm sparing you from pictures because the tan lines on my feet from my sandals are completely absurd right now. The zappos pictures should be enough.)
