If you want to wear these boots with bare legs and skirts and dresses, the natural colour would be fab, because it is similar to skin colour and so is very useful. I have boots in the natural colour (actually worn out and need to be replaced) and loved them. Please report back on the fit. Ithink we have similar foot shapes, wider forefoot but narrower heel. I'm at the small end of the size range so I can't move across to men's sizes. Plus they don't give the guys the burgundy option.</p> <p>I am with you on not liking red green combos, unless it is Christmas. I also am frequently drawn to that sort of distressed tan leather. It’s like a shadow style. But for me it turns out to be a “ for blondes “ color unless it’s in s flat that I wear with bare legs, because I can’t pull off that dress/ bare- legs- tan boots thing as in the photo, that was very popular a few years ago. . I think black is easy to eliminate since you have black footwear that will cover some of the same purposes. Like others here, I would lean toward burgundy. It sounds like it is an easy fit with your typical wardrobe palette. I can see the draw of the light brown, though. I also second Viva--I would definitely wear the burgundy with olive, and I'd carry the olive bag with them. I'm not a huge fan of cognac or tan when they're too bright, but I like this more muted, vintage take on a lighter brown. The contrast with the laces and sole is nice too. It would be quite a wildcard for me -- I haven't owned light brown or tan in LONG time.&nbsp;</p> <p>And the burgundy is splendid -- I have a pair of shorter lace-up boots in a much brighter burgundy, more of a real dark red, so they read more funky/casual whereas these are quite a sophisticated colour. I don't particularly like red/green pairings, so probably would not wear these with anything olive.</p> <p>Bottoms I'd be wearing them with: black, olive, dark and light denim, black/grey plaid.
