They're great looking boots but I'd have to pass. The walking shoes I bought for my trip to Europe had this type of sole and a stretchy fabric upper. I wore them a lot before the trip to break them in. They felt okay at the end of each of the 2 long days (not back to back) I wore them, but after the first day I noticed a purplish tinge to my big toenail. Four months later I still have the purple bruise that developed on day 2!

It's a style. I have some Born shooties that very slightly tip up and in general I am learning I don't like that look; the full-down sole to me looks more polished for the rest of my outfits, in general or I might lean toward the leprechaun or jester look. So it's just information that helps me when I'm looking at items.

Thanks ladies. It took some browsing around the net before I finally realized I'm not walking in them wrong to make them do this...it's just what they do. Slightly annoying, but still the first boot I reach for on a cold day!

This is one of my issues with Frye... It's a look you either love or don't love, but it is definitely the style of the boot!

Those are beautiful boots. Like Diana says, I think it's just how they're made, and you have to live with the style. I have a pair of cowboy boots that have this is in a pretty pronounced way, and I think it bugged me when I first looked at them, but when I'm wearing them I don't think about it.

That's the traditional cowboy boot styling. The shoe is designed like that so you can't "fix" it. Personally I avoid shoes with this styling because it puts more pressure on the balls of my feet, which are already a sore spot for my fussy feet.

I love the boots I have on today so much but they curl up under the toes! They will not sit flat, and for some reason it just bugs me. Is there a way to have a cobbler fix that, or is it just how they're made? It looks all scuffy under there!

Does anyone else have these Frye Paige boots and have the same issue?
