> Knee-high, flat-ish riding style boots? Or the scrunchy ones?
Yup, either one would work, and the ones you posted a link to. They would just give your look a different vibe.

> And if you were wearing with dark blue skinnies/straight legs, would you go > for black or brown/cognac ?
For me, it would depend on what other colors I was wearing. But as loulou mentioned, dark blue would go with black and brown.

> One last question - if you found that you couldn't get skinnies to look right on > you, would straight legs still work for tucking into boots?
Yes, you can, depending on the straight legs and the jeans. They'd work better with slouchy boots, since you don't need to fuss with the hem so much.

Very nervous about posting pictures just yet, but will do so soon. I need to ask for an opinon on body shape too at some point.

And yes - crwilson - I can just picture straight legs being a wee bit fussier in terms of boots. Thanks for that tip.

Like Loulou, I think that almost any color works. The only problem I have with tucking straight leg jeans is that I get a bunchy look at the knees, which is both funny looking and uncomfortable.

Thanks - I'll get the jeans first, then go looking for boots.

I think most types of boots work with skinnies as long as they are wide enough to accomodate the jeans, so make sure you wear the jeans when trying on the boots.
Dark denim is classed as a neutral so any colour boots you fancy would work
Yes straight legs should work too x

Very new at this - but was wondering what kind of boots are best for tucking skinny or straight leg jeans into.

Knee-high, flat-ish riding style boots? Or the scrunchy ones?

Would something like this work:

http://www.dsw.com/dsw_shoes/c.....038;brand=

And if you were wearing with dark blue skinnies/straight legs, would you go for black or brown/cognac ?

One last question - if you found that you couldn't get skinnies to look right on you, would straight legs still work for tucking into boots?

Thanks
