Fellow skinny calves person here. SW are wonderful, and if you want something with a funky edge, Biviel's boots run small in the calf (in fact on Zappos they post notices to that effect).

Naf! Have you tried Stuart Weitzman? They get my number one vote.

naf I'm waiting on a pair of Campers to arrive as well, so maybe we can be shoe twins - we are the same height too!! Except I think my calves are a bit bigger than yours 13-13.5 (one is bigger than the other - gah!!) I'm crossing my fingers for both of us that they work!!

Maya, thanks for the link. they are really cute boots! I am 5'8.5 with long legs, so I don't think they will fit me.

I should try La Canadienne, aren't they supposed to be waterproof?

Marianne, I'll post back about the campers.

Naf, these are the boots I got:

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/p/7486441/c/665.html

Are you petite? I tried these on in person with Angie and Tanya, who are both 5'6, and they were too short on them. They fit me perfectly though (I'm 5'2).

Camper is unfortunately the brand I tried that fit well in the calf, but was too tall, so I had to send them back. I hope yours fit better.

I have also had La Canadienne boots and loved them.

Of course I couldn't miss this thread. Naf, could you please post if the Camper boots work out for you or not? For tucking, I managed to find a pair of Paul Green Thor, but they have buckles and I wear them at the smallest setting.

Thanks April, I'll check out duoboots. How is the quality of these boots?

Angie, eagerly awaiting your response :)

Maya, your comment about tall boots not fitting makes total sense to me. I am drawn towards tall boots and none of them seemed to fit. Do you mind sharing the brand/style of your slouchy boots? i tried the Bronx Women's Cody Button Boot, but can't find my size :(

Thanks Shana for the list, I'll look at these brands. I just ordered camper helix boots, thanks for the tip.

I have been keeping a running list based on suggestions from this board as well as other boards. Of course, I have yet to try on any of these so I cannot speak from personal experience. Most seem to be higher end brands:

Stuart Weitzman
Prada
Loeffler Randall
Sigerson Morrison
La Canadienne
Aquatalia

I have also read that the Camper (spiral helix) is a narrow calf flat boot. When I was in Germany in December, I found many boots that fit my calves (little less than 13") so I do think there is a better selection of narrow calf boots available in Europe.

Naf, I have similar calf measurements to you. I suspect maybe the shaft is too high and that's why the boots you have tried aren't wide enough at the top. I had some boots that were 13" at the top, but they hit me just below the knee, not around the calf, so they were actually too big. Does that make any sense? The boots I have now that fit are slouch boots and a pair of boots that have an adjustable buckle at the top so I could make them smaller. I find that for some reason European brands often tend to run smaller as well.

Boy, do I understand this problem, naf. I never knew it was a problem until Angie posted her blog entry about boots not fitting properly at the calf, then I realized that all my boots made me look like I was standing in a hole. My calf is 12 inches, so most boots are several inches too big. As we speak, I am awaiting the return of a pair of boots I left at the cobblers a couple of weeks ago to take in the calf. (He assured me they would be ready by the end of that week, so I am getting a little nervous that he's still not finished, but am hoping they'll be done soon and will look okay.)

Anyway, the only place I know of where you can get boots sized to fit your calf is Duo, which is in England and thus has pricey shipping if you're in the U.S. The boots are not cheap either, but there are sometimes sales. http://www.duoboots.com/

I know Angie has had success with Stuart Weitzman, which reportedly run a little more snug in the calf, but they are a major purchase -- even more so than the Duos.

Best of luck to you. I will post when my boots are back from the cobblers. If you find a good enough sale on boots you love and have a good enough cobbler, it might be worth buying them and having them tailored. It's not cheap, but for me it made more sense than wasting a pair of new boots AND buying another new pair that fit correctly.

I've been looking for boots for a while now, but can't seem to find any that fit my skinny calves. I just returned my 15th pair - no exaggeration :-(
My calf size is 13 inches for skirts and 13.5 over jeans. I am looking for flat or kitten heel boots, and am open to trying out any style. I am also open to trying on any color, black, gray, chestnut or brown.

Do you know of a specific brand and style that fits thin calves?
