Alych, you got me all excited until I saw that your shoe size is 6. I am the same height as you are, my calf measurement is the same, except I wear a size 8. I think Angie wears a size 6 as well, and that's why she is able to find boots that fit her calves. The shaft size goes up as the shoe size increases.

I am NEVER able to find boots that fit my calves. I am 5'7" and my chicken leg calves are just under 12" at the widest point. Found these chinese laundry boots that fit great!
http://www.dsw.com/shoe/chines.....dId=225807
just a tiny gap in the back but honestly you don't notice it at all. they are a looser fitting leather so may slouch, but they zip in the ankle so actually fit very snugly to my skinny ankles They have an elastic band in the back so i'm sure fit people with big calves as well, but they are a godsend for me. Have been to every major deparment store, shoe boutique, etc in chicago looking for black boots under $300. They do seem to get wider with increasing shoe size (I wear a 6), so may be bigger in the calf if you have a bigger foot. But worth a try!

I know Im pretty late but I ran into this post looking for some boots for small legs! I dont think I can even say my calves are over 11'' Anyhow, I have 1 pair and here is what I did... I waited until a department store has them on sale and hopefully my size is still left (9.5) larger sizes go fast! and I took it to the shoe repair place and they altered it for me! It must be leather in order for them to do it and Apparently the shoe shop has to really know their stuff because everyone wont try this! Good Luck

I'm 5'8" and have 12.25" calves. I actually have a pair of skinny leg boots and I love them. It's true that they are not cheap, but they are actually great quality, and after years of my legs swimming in every boot I tried on, for me they were definitely worth the investment!

Dear skinnylegboots,
Lets imagine for one second that I'd be willing to pay upwards of 300$ for boots that are not even leather but a cheap looking suede and lets also pretend that you're not trying to rip us off with boots that aren't that much skinnier that those that you can get on endless.com, which offers boots of 13 " circumference, a mere half inch wider than your 12.5 " so-called-skinny--but-not-quite-as-skinny-as-you-thought-boots. Also, Endless.com sells them as cheap as 32$, I just bought a pair. Mind you, they will still be too wide for my 9 " calves, but at least I didn't blow 300$ to be exploited by Skinnylegboots who thinks they can take advantage of the poor minority of skinny women. Knowing that we desire to follow the boot trend but that it is so hard for thin legged women to find boots to fit us, you try to extort us out of upwards of 300$ by luring us in with promises of skinny boots that aren't really any better than what is already out there. Take your fine "suede" somewhere else! Cuz I already bought me some boots on Endless.com!

It is almost impossible for me to find boots that fit me. My calves are 9 inches around. I have the same problem finding rings that fit me, bracelets, watches, etc. because I have a really small bone structure. It is sad that most jewelry, clothing and boots are made for heavier people. There are a lot of us petite people out there that would buy these products were they made in our size. It's like the fashion corporations are ignoring that we exist! And its kind of a slap in the face for them to assume that heavier is the default nowadays because that isn't always the case. And "one size fits all" NEVER fits me! My finger is the same width as my 5 year old niece. I'm not complaining, I guess I just want to be heard because I know there are other petites out there like me and we are overlooked by clothing and jewelry companies. I couldn't even buy my wedding ring in a store because none of the jewelers could size down their rings to a 3. I had to buy my ring online where it was made from scratch.
I know there are stores made for "big and tall" people..why aren't there more stores made specifically for petite people? I'm not particularly short at 5 ft 4, but I am slender and its hard to find things that fit, especially boots. Can you imagine having a calf that is 16 inches in circumference like most of the boots out there?? Mine is 9 inches.... I look like a little girl playing dress up even when I buy boots in the little girls department...where is the justice??!??!??!

Ellen, I have very skinny calves myself and I managed to find a pair of boots by Sudini that actually fits them. You can see the photos on my " Fall closet cleanout - part 2" thread.

There is also a British company called Duo boots (they do ship to US) that actually sells boots by calf circumference:

Thanks for the replies! I was at a wedding today (and have one tomorrow!), so I didn't get to check them until now.

It's good to know about that circumference... that's what I will look for. And I will try Franco Sarto and Stuart Weitzman. Marianne, I'll definitely post on here if I find some! I'll be looking through the next month or so.

I don't have any boots, so I'll eventually need pairs for both over jeans and with skirts, but with skirts/tights is the most pressing need right now so I can make that part of my wardrobe work into the winter.

P.S. Shiny, I've never owned a pair I tried to tuck jeans into because I always wanted a "skirt pair" and never found them! Can you believe I've never owned boots?

Either Shiny. Depends on the boot. I have rough looking casual riding boots that are cuffed with ”wiggle room”, and I have sleeker smarter boots that are snug over jeans.

Angie, if you are looking for boots to wear with skinnies/straights tucked in, are they supposed to still fit tightly at the calf? Or do you want a bit of wiggle room?

I have skinny calves too. Try and look for boots with 12 to 13 inch calf circumferences. There aren’t always brands that will specify this particular measurement and it’s therefore a hit or miss. Stuart Weitzman tends to make narrow calved boots.

I am 10 inches shorter than you, my calves are 13 inches; I find Franco Sarto fits like a glove. Couldn't tuck jeans into them though, but if you are looking for something to wear with tights, you might give that brand a try.

I'm tall (5'10), have size 10 (sometimes 9.5) feet, and unusually skinny calves. I don't own a pair of fitted boots because I have never found an affordable pair that fit. Usually if they are big enough for my feet, my calves swim in them and it looks bad. I would really like a basic pair this fall - probably black, if I'm going to get the most wear out of them. Preferably matte leather, preferably flat or low heel (I chase a young baby all day!).

Has anyone found a brand/style of high calf/knee height boots that work for skinny calves?
