Thumbs up from me on both STYLES, Dawn.

As far as suede goes, I’d stay clear of that fabric unless it's the waterproofed kind that Canadian company Aquatalia sells. Very hard to maintain. I know ALL about living in a cold and wet place for Winter and normal suede is not your friend :0(

I love both pairs, too but I would be reluctant to purchase the second one because of the aforementioned reasons. Suede is harder to take care of than leather.

I love both pairs but the black seem more practical although, I could not wear those heels. Are they really comfortable? They would be great for dress. The purple seem so funky and you. Can suede be waterproofed?

Both are great pairs, i especially love the colour of the purple but i guess you'd be limited due to the suede. So i'd say the black ones would be more versatile x

Yep, I'm thinking about this already. As a student who only works during the summer, I need to start making decisions about where to spend my money on clothes. Summers here in Ireland are extremely poor so I don't want to spend my money on any summer clothes and I want to pick up some investment pieces for my autumn/ winter wardrobe this summer when I have money available.

The main area in which my winter wardrobe is challenged is shoes and boots. I have many pairs of ballet flats which I wear with tights and skirts on dry Autumn days. I have a pair of Converse which are to be replaced after the summer as I wear them to work everyday. I have a couple pairs of pumps which I wear with dresses, skirts and tights. Finally I have one pair of riding boots which I wear with skinnies.

Last winter, I ended up wearing this one pair of boots for about a month straight because of the cold, wet weather in January and February. Unfortunately for this month, I was unable to wear skirts or dresses due to the lack of suitable boots and I also began to get bored of wearing the same boots everyday.

I am thinking of buying two pairs of boots to expand my shoe options for autumn and winter- one pair for skirts and one pair for skinnies.

1) http://www.duoboots.com/produc.....lfwidth/B/

I think that they're very pretty and have some interesting details without having the potential to overpower the outfit. The heel height wouldn't be too difficult for me to walk in and the chunky heel should be very stable.

2) http://www.duoboots.com/produc.....colour/18/

I hope to wear these on cold but dry days. I also can waterproof them too but I still would be reluctant to wear them on a wet day. I think they will add a pop of colour to my winter wardrobe.

I have ordered from DuoBoots before and have found them to be a reliable company with high quality boots. Unfortunately I have tiny calves which makes buying boots to be a difficult and frustrating experience.

What do you think of these boots?
