So they are only the same level as the top of boot. And I think it is #1. I suspect these are not meant to fit snug around your leg. Many mid-calf boots are like that -- the ones I got at the NAS (Aquatalia) come to mind. They have to be loose because they just slip on. It's just hit me how skinny my ankles and calves are - do any of these work?<br /> Pic 1, 2 and 3 Sam Edelman mid calf distressed suede - I love these but whoa - r they really that big around my legs? Also love the height of the heel - something a little different for my shoe wardrobe. Buckle straps r only sticking out cuz I didn't tuck them in loop- they actually lay flat against the boot.<br /> Pic 2 Jessica Simpson - surprisingly comfy.<br /> Pic 3 Sam Edelman pettys - a safe fallback as I've worn my putty colors into the ground.<br /> So - wat do u think?
