I don't have particularly small ankles (9" - never measured them before this thread lol) but, because my calves are right on the cusp of straight &amp; plus sized (15.5"), I still get the annoying creases &amp; gathers that rub around my ankles because they're a little disproportionate to the rest of me. </p> <p>Edit: I like the idea of sock boots, but I want boots that can be worn both bare legged/ with hosiery &amp; over trousers. I have these waterproof suede boots and they are years old and they still look good. I am not a petite person at 5'6" and "medium" in clothes or US 8/UK 12 it just makes my ankles look even <i>smaller</i>.&nbsp;<i>&lt;sigh&gt;</p> <p></i>I often look like I'm standing in a bucket when I wear booties. Not only do they fit nicely to the ankle, they tend to be soft — there’s no stiffness to rub your ankle or shin. </p> <p>I think there are some Eileen Fishers on the Nordstrom Rack site. I've tried on quite a few pairs, but every single pair has had Very loose ankles that rub when I walk. Just measured my ankles and they're 8 inch around.<br /> I'm considering these in Finds. They look more fitted than many. Anyone have them, or similar? </p>
