I thought the suede would especially look good with black tights. I am finding that I reach for the leather ones much more. My suede ones might have a slightly lower heel than the ones shown, but I find myself reaching more often for the lower alternative. Also, the leather goes better with my graying hair than the black black of suede, and suede is just more fragile even without rain. </p> <p>In terms of leg length/leg shortening, the lower height of the leather bootie seems to make up for the flatter heel. I have a similar bootie in taupe suede by Report, and it is super comfortable and I love it. (I do not know how Aldo shoes compare for comfort; last time I tried to wear them they were agony on my feet). That said, I LOVE my Reports and really enjoy wearing them - they're well balanced and fun. However, with the wider opening at the top, it can be difficult to wear them with jeans that are not rolled or tucked into them. Skinnies do not go over that opening too well. Straight legs or bootcuts are fine. </p> <p>#2 are like the SE Pettys. They would be great. If you are worried about black leather with black leather, how about picking another colour (assuming that's possible)? Or going for something that has texture or print?
