I am the same way you are with colored footwear--I rarely go for it. I have had red shoes that go unworn, even in the berry or wine shades that I really like. To me, these boots are different in that a) they are boots, not shoes, and b) they are subtle enough to blend in with other patterns as well as solids. You don't wear a lot of patterns in your clothing anyway, do you? I can see these with a column of burgundy, a column of your gorgeous green, peeking out from flared jeans, etc. They will be smashing with the skirt you show above. <br />The black boots are excellent.
