Tanya is spot on. It's rare that boots such as these work for both sets of ensemble choices because the fit requirement is different. Slouchy boot styles will work both ways though.

These are great boot choices! Your final decision will depend on whether you want to wear flats or heels.

I am sorry to hear about your boot trouble. Both Duo pairs that you have picked are lovely, but it will of course depend on whether you prefer flats or heels. If you do not have any, I would personally start with the first (flat) pair.

I haven't bought anything from them, but I have heard/read all the very best reviews. Btw, I am sorry to say that, but one pair would not work for both skirts and skinnies, beacuse the ones for skinnies have to be wider and the skirt boots should fit really snug on the calf.

I went looking for a pair of boots for a long rainy winter today and I could find nothing that fitted me or that I liked in more than 6 shoe shops today. The two pairs that fitted me had pointed toes and thin stiletto heels, both which I hate. All the other boots that I tried on were far too big in the calves.

Anyway, so I went home and checked duoboots.com and found two pairs of boots which I love and will fit my calves. The only problem is that I have to choose between them as they are expensive and I can only afford one. I intend on wearing them over skinny jeans, and with tights and skirts.

Florence in black- flat riding boot http://www.duoboots.com/produc.....lfwidth/B/

Akita in black- chunky heel http://www.duoboots.com/produc.....lfwidth/B/

It's so difficult to choose between them and I want to buy a boot which I will wear for the next few winters.

Which do you prefer? And has anyone here used duoboots.com before?
