Thanks, Kelly! The stripe dress has more love at the moment so I think that's what I'm wearing. I'm so happy about my new boots...I finally have something that will work with dresses and skirts, too! Yay!

Cheryl and Beth Ann , thank you- I bought the black and white skirt a couple years ago, it still has the tags on (hanging head in shame) just never had the right shoe to work and hated to part with it because the length is perfect and it's comfy!

Beth Ann-I'm thinking, yes, twins! We have similar tastes, don't we. I LOVE the colors in the blouse..so rich and pretty. I have no other prints and can see how this will add some interest and dimension to my neutral fall outfits. We must have similar coloring! I did try my denim jacket over top the blouse but it's too faded and cropped, I think. shoot I was thinking that would be a go to topper. Having trouble finding another layer that works.

LOVE the new boots, Carole. They are divine on you. I think the striped dress is killer on you with or without the toppers. It doesn't look too body con at all! I also really like the flared skirt with the floral top. For some reason, it looks a little more dressy than the mustard skirt. I'm not sure why but it looks like something you could wear to a baby shower too! I haven't been to one in decades though so take my opinion with a grain of salt!

I think we're double twins, Carole! I have the same black and white skirt, I believe. Mine is a couple of years old, Mossimo from Target. I could easily see you wear that black and white, with bold bag, to the shower.

Love the boots! The fit your leg beautifully. And each of your outfits works well with them!

Isn't the Loft blouse a lovely print? I think the colors, particularly the teal, look even better in person than they photograph. I could see a jacket over the outfit with the gold skirt --- perhaps a dark, polished denim, or a classic black blazer. The length of the top would work well with lots of different toppers.

The grey tee in the last outfit is a perfect fit, and pairs nicely with the skirt. I could also see a banded pullover sweater with this skirt.

Carole, you put together some really nice outfits. For a shower, my first choice would be the gold skirt outfit in #3 and my second choice would be the black top and skirt in #2. I think they all look good and would work though.

I love 1 and 2 (both versions) but agree no 2 is a bit office wear-ish. You look sensational in the dress in no 1 and I don't think you need to wear the sweater. But that's up to you. I also think the last outfit is super cute but more casual. Those are fabulous boots.

Hi Carole. I think I could be your body double! I have an incredibly short waist too, and look similar everwhere else. :)

I liked everything, but particularly #1, with and without the cardi. I would probably choose the cardi if it felt too body con.

The boots look great on you.

I was just wondering. I guess because I am slightly long waisted I want to tuck in all flared skirts :)
You look wonderful in the blouse and skirt as is.

Love the boots . I don't know how fancy baby showers are around where you live but 1 ( with or without the sweater) is a good bet, imo. I also have the same dress in another color and I know that in photos it looks tighter than it is.
2 seems very office wear to me. Beautiful but not baby shower material ( I am thinking about the baby showers I have been to)
3, would you consider tucking in the blouse with the black skirt ?
4 is a beautiful classic.

JAileen/ thanks for your input! Definitely 1 with the sweater...this looks better irl at least i hope! I like the gold skirt too, but it's a lot tighter this year:(

Infrumptrd- the dress is very comfortable and doesn't hike up...I'm just really tall and everything is short on me:(

The boots are great.
I like #1 with the sweater for fall--how does the dress do in the "sit test"?
#2 is just a classic combo IMO--very easy and chic. Skirt is perfect length.
#3 tan skirt is maybe a bit broken up by the color blocking and belting. The skirt is not too short in the sense of not "decent" but I like a longer length with boots and bare legs, just personally. ? try blouse unbelted to be intentionally boxy, or a longer fluid top or add tights ?

#1 - I prefer with the sweater. Maybe I'm too self conscious, but it's a little body con for me without the sweater.
#2 - I like them both, but probably with the dark sweater better. The tote looks great with it for a pop of color. If you wear the blue sweater then I think a dark bag would look nice.
#3 - Both look really good, but probably prefer the gold skirt. The other skirt does not look bad, though.

I will come back to analyze outfits, but have to say that I adore the boots. My OTKs have brought new life to my closet, and these seem to be doing the same for you. And I like them with bare legs, which I sadly don't get to do enough.

I haven't worn a dress or skirt in ages...I have a baby shower tomorrow and am trying to decide what to wear. Thanks to my new Start Weitzman boots I am excited to wear something besides pants! These boots are going to enable me to wear some long neglected skirts and a dress with the tags still on.

I'm thinking of wearing the first example; a BR olive and black stripe dress. It seems a little too body con so was thinking of wearing this black bf sweater with it..,what do you think?

The second set of pics are of a skirt and some top options.

The third set is of a new print blouse from the loft...I spied Beth Ann in hers and fell in love with the colors. Since I have only one other print blouse I thought I should have this! Good thing Una's checklist hadn't come out yet;)

4-6 are of a new light weight knit top from Loft with buttons in the back. It's feels so nice on the skin, with an old favorite black skirt.

Any and all comments, suggestions and critiques are welcome and needed!

Thank you!
