Angie, you totally get it - I know the oversized trend is big, but personally I just don't fancy it that much on myself.

I should have just bought both sizes this morning so I could show photos. I might still do this and send pictures tomorrow, and then Angie you can evaluate in person next week!

Sarah A, thanks for the great suggestions. Love the dress idea especially.

I would have to see it on, Antje. My immediate response is to size up because I agree with Anna. But I also know you :). You do not like oversized looks on yourself and I worry about that part of it.

My black lace bomber jacket is a size up - (the sleeves were so short on the smaller size I had no choice but to size up). I LOVE the oversized look of this style. It totally looks right to my eye. '80s fabness.

Try it on for me next week?

I like the slightly looser fit. I think that is what I find so intriguing about this jacket style. I could see it playing well with your pencil skirts. I'm curious to hear what Angie has to say. Great question.

I like those style jackets on the larger size. I'd go with the medium. It doesn't look super fitted on the model.

I love it! I think would go to the smaller size, but i am not too much on the oversized trend.

Outfit ideas -

1. black trousers and black tank with jacket.
2. Graphic black and white sheath dress with jacket.
3. Midi pencil skirt in jewel tone + white button down collar popped + jacket

I hope you will get it!

So I fell in love with this little bomber jacket, which I tried on at Nordies:

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/mu.....et/3438248

This is a new shape for me though (actually, I do have a leather bomber jacket, but that's outerwear; this one would be worn indoors) and I have several questions:

Sizing:
I tried Small and Medium and felt in-between. I thought the Small looked more flattering when worn unzipped. The Medium one looked a bit big to me, especially the sleeves. I don’t envision wearing a sleeved top underneath, more like a tank top or sleeveless shell/blouse, so the Small was “big enough”, but definitely fitted. When zipped, the Medium was definitely the better size (the Small one does not look good zipped at all.)
Questions:
- Would I ever wear this jacket zipped? My hunch is no, but please chime in if you see fun and stylish ways of wearing it zipped.
- Should the bomber be voluminous? I generally prefer fitted styles, but I’d consider sizing up if the bomber is supposed to be that way

Styling:
Looking for ways to wear the bomber for work. I’d describe my style as “creative business casual”. Rarely jeans, typically dresses, skirts, black tailored pants. Not too buttoned-up, though – the bomber will not be a problem. I just want it to look stylish and fun and pulled together. The outfit the Nordstrom model is wearing will not work for me – too skimpy and “young”.
(I’m sure the bomber will look terrific with my boyfriend jeans. But I only want to buy it if I can come up with work outfits for it too.)
- Any ideas for outfits that don’t involve jeans or short skirts?

Thanks tons!
