FWIW I don't see the "middle" as heavy because each layer falls at a different vertical height so it still all draws the eye up and down. The earth tones, textured knits, and utilitarian fabric (denim jacket) express that style to me.</p> <p>Like Synne, I might suggest tweaking the shoes. The ballet flats read more ladylike to me, esp because of the piping and the low block heel. Maybe a funky low ankle bootie with perforations/cutouts? </p>
