Lisap (and The Cat), I did actually have a whole PM conversation with this person 7 months ago. I don’t know what is going on in their life, but it was still an interesting one about fashion and style.

Agree with Rachylou - rectangular-ish.

Though I'm not personally a fan of the struggle to name one's body type. I do understand it can help with looking for styling tips. But as others mention above, we are all a blend of types and all beautiful. Let me tell you, no matter what anyone looks like, there is someone who will find an unkind comment to throw at our direction.

Welcome back, Caterina. I agree with rachylou that the bust size does not matter. What matters is how the body shape looks when viewed from the front. I would say that you are predominantly a rectangle.

All body shapes are beautiful. It's just a matter of finding the right clothes to flatter your shape. As others have pointed out, most of us are a mix of shapes. Have you ever read the book "The Triumph of Individual Style"? I think it does an excellent job of showing how all body types are beautiful. It can also help you pinpoint how to flatter your unique body features, without getting too caught up in labels.

"Improving your body"? We are all lucky to have our splendid bodies, and yours in particular is perfect for someone who loves clothes... I would bet a lot of different kind of styles would look great on you. Leave the notion of improvement behind. Enjoy your body for what it is.

If you want to improve your style, start taking note of people whose style you admire... I think these guys are right, that Audrey would be a great inspiration, and if you need more modern muses, maybe Sofia Coppola or Giovanna Battaglia? Whomever! You probably know which celebrities you admire. It all depends on whether the clothes strike a chord with you. It's a process that becomes easier and more fun with every year you grow older, as long as you don't let a fixation on your body get in your way.

I agree with rachylou. You look like you could be a rectangle with inverted triangle tendencies.

Hi Caterina. Nice to see you again. I don’t think, you know, the bust actually counts that much when it comes to shape. Because the shapes are the outlines you see looking straight on. So I do think you’re a rectangle.

What style are you interested in changing to?

Well, you have written some forum posts about this issue before ... And several of us tried to help and encourage you as best we could. I am sorry to see that it seems our previous efforts have been in vain, and regret that I have nothing new to add.

No, I don’t! And I know exactly what kind of comments people might say. I had very a similar body type when I was younger. Enjoy your body shape. It’s great and it’s yours. Very Audrey Hepburn A lot of women work very hard to look just like that.
Style wise, avoid too oversized clothes and wear anything you want. Look at Audrey for an inspiration Good luck

Hmm I would agree inverted triangle with larger bust.
I think most people are a combo of two types... so it’s complicated lol.

Hello everyone,
I am trying to change my style and buy clothes that could fit my body type. The problem is... what is my body shape? I have always seen myself as an inverted triangle, but I am not sure. I don't have that athletic build... Rectangle might be an option, but I have a 32C, very unlikely.
Hourglass does not seem to fit since I have quite straight hips and I really look bad with the hourglass shape outfits... Do you have any suggestion? I will post some more pictures... This is all I have now:)
Also, how can I possibly improve my body? A few people used to make fun of me saying I am emaciated and androgynous... Do you agree?
