I used to think I was a pear, because I developed hips after having babies. Most recently, I took my measurements for something and thought, wow, I think I'm a rectangle.&nbsp;<br />Gigi, I've never thought shirt dresses fit me in a chic "flapper" type way where they kind of fell straight down. Maybe I'm more of an "athletic" build rectangle instead of a willowy rectangle. Maybe I just need a little something to hide a muffin top, shirt dresses don't seem to do that.<br />Thanks for your thoughts. Hmm, so in thinking through this, I think "athletic build" vs willowy rectangle will be helpful in thinking through how to apply body shape to actual outfits. I actually don't own leggings and body con doesn't fit my style persona, so dressing for this shot is kind of trickier than I thought. Haha. My bathing suit has a pattern on it that I think distracts, so I tried this combination. <br />So, I think I'm a rectangle with apple tendencies. Maybe that should be chocolate chip cookie tendencies. I was rereading Angie's body type suggestions, and she mentioned shirt dresses for rectangles. I love shirt dresses, but I don't like the way they look on me. (I keep trying them on). I thought maybe I had it wrong. <br />I also find that anything that makes a line across the middle makes me look very wide. Maybe it's because I'm a petite rectangle? Would that be bordering on a square? <br />Torontogirl and Chrissie, if we all vote rectangle, does that make it so? Maybe it just gives me a little more confidence I've got it right.
