And another welcome from me! You are indeed a very pretty pear.

Your chest looks in perfect proportion to the rest of your body. And you look like you're wearing a great bra so well done! V-necks and lower necklines are a fab way to slim down the size of the bust. Wearing single breasted jackets open is also effective.

Thanks, ladies. Now my question is... how do I de-emphasize my hips without emphasizing my chest, which I also like to de-emphasize?

Hi there! I found this web site yesterday on accident, and I found myself reading all sorts of blogs on body-type. My mother always says I have an hourglass figure, but I always imagine hourglasses with much better proportion than my crazy hips. I'm pretty sure I'm either an hourglass with pear tendencies (weight gain always heads to the hips) or a pear with hourglass tendencies (hourglass just sounds too good to be true!). By measurement (which today is 39-31-43) I am a pear, but my shoulders and hips seem to be fairly even, and I have a rather large chest (36DDD). I am just at a loss as to which shape I should be dressing for. I have a bit more weight on than usual, but this is my basic shape. I prefer to wear skirts, so I just wore some old leggings and a too-tight shirt that I sleep in so you could see my shape better. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
