A picture would help a lot! I had the same problem a month or two ago and I got much better and more accurate responses when I finally got a picture up! Your measurements aren't all that reliable. But from what you say, you're most likely an hourglass. It's all about the hips and shoulders being in line and a waist that goes in. You only have a 2 inch difference between your hips and bust. I have a 1.5 inch difference between my bust and hips, and when I put my measurements in an online calculator I always get pear or unknown. However, I do have an hourglass shape, which I figured out with the help of the lovely ladies on this website! Goodluck trying to figure out your body shape!(:

I agree with rachylou that a picture would help. So much of body shape is based on the visual perception of the body. It's best to post pics of yourself in something tight, like leggings and a tank top or something like that. I know that you can't post pix yet...you can either wait until you're an active member or else link to a picture you have posted on an external website. Oh, and if you want, you can cut your head off in the pic if you're uncomfortable with a photo like that being out in cyberspace. :^)

Welcome to YLF!

Hello! A pic would help. The strict measurements hint at but don't reveal one's shape, if you know what I mean. But you did get a lot of data points (!) - I'm guessing hourglass.

I'm extremely confused about what my body shape is. I looked it up because I'm going to college soon and I wanted to look more mature and compliment my natural shape. I came across this website and hopefully someone can clear the air for me with all the confusion. Other websites say that I'm a Inverted Triangle, Pear, or Hourglass. It's really confusing. Also if you girls can help me find out what dresses compliment my body, it would really help! Thanks
