It's fitted on me (I have broad shoulders and a big bootay) but I could get away with wearing a fine knit sweater or corduroy dress underneath. I would definitely size up if you wanted to wear a light jacket or thick sweater underneath. </p> <p>A bunch of you have mentioned coveting a velvet coat. This is the one, girls. It is FABULOUS and very, very well made. I have tried it on with skinnies and boots and a dress with heels and it looks magnificent with both. I was suprised...thought it would be dry clean only, so Im not worried about the weather at all......crwilson, this one seems *very*well-made, I do need the sleeves tailored- they are extremely long,it has some weight to it- I think it would be ok in a temp range from 60-45 degrees....Bodens has a 90 day refund policy, so thats plenty of time to look it over and decide....havent a clue what to wear with it yet! I couldnt even see my fingertips with it on....so to the tailor it goes. All in all, a good investment piece.... </p>
