Crazyone, I actually just bought this dress a few weeks ago, and it's really cute. It fit perfectly in my usual Boden size 8. My experience has been that sometimes items from Boden can be a little generously sized, but this one fits like a glove. Colorwise, my vote would be for the turquoise, just because it seems more summery to me than the dark purple! Oh, and just in case it might make a difference in your decision, the "red" is actually bubble gum pink . . .

Both before and after their change to US sizing I've had inconsistent experiences with Boden's sizing. I end up keeping about half of what I order, but what I keep, I really like.

Sparky, thanks for that tip! It seems like most of the reviews are very positive and a few people even say the dress runs small. So I'll probably get it...leaning towards the purple, deciding between that and the turquoise. Any suggestions? I don't like the red even though I usually like reds, I just don't like the red with white polka dots combo.

Crazyone, I forgot to mention that while Boden always seems to take down reviews during their EOS sales, you can find them on their UK site. That might help you with sizing ~ does an item run large or small in general ~ and help you decide what to get.

Frances and Carrie, that's very helpful as it sounds like you two are my size!

And yes, it seemed like very little of the sale stuff was in size 2.

Before the new sizing Boden was too big for me. I've ordered a number of dresses and tops recently and they have for the most part fit. I am XS in JCrew, 0/0p in Banana Republic and the Boden 2 usually fit (if they didn't it was because it was a little big). Hope that helps!

Crazyone, I don't know how their dress sizes are running right now, but I ordered 2 skirts from this summer line in the past month and both fit beautifully, as did a skirt I ordered from their winter collection back in January. I am a U.S. Size 0 and ordered the Boden size 2. It worked out and the quality of all has been fine; however, I do hear what others are saying about hit or miss quality, as I've ordered tops from them in the past that did not meet my expectations.

Pretty dress--I'm so disappointed that all the items I had my eye on seemed to vanish in size 2 as soon as they went on sale. Also, why do they pull the reviews and the videos from their website when they have a sale? It's so frustrating and it keeps me from considering alternative items.

thanks for the info, Maya and Sparky.

I was thinking of getting this: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/.....vGroupID=4

does anyone here have any experience with this one?

I haven't ordered from them since their change to US sizing, but last night i was reading reviews of several different items. The consensus seemed to be that since their change to US sizing, there is a lot of inconsistency in what you actually get. I recall one reviewer saying she preferred ordering in the old UK sizing since she could figure out herself what she needed, but now she orders a US size X, which Boden decides means UK size Y and she gets something that is completely the wrong size.

Same as Maya, when I've ordered I've needed to size down a lot.

As for quality, I've found it mixed. Some pieces are great, some not so great. But I guess that is the same pretty much everywhere.

I don't know about what it's like since they changed their sizes, but their smallest size was sometimes too big for me (I was a 4 US at the time). I'd definitely go with a 2.

I was considering buying some sundresses from Boden as they're having a sale and it seems from what I've read here their quality is quite high. One thing though: how do their sizes run? From what I read before, it seems like they run large...by the measurements it seems like I should be a 2 or a 4 but it seems like the 4 will definitely be too big from what I read here? Does anyone have recent experience now that they've moved to having US sizes available?
