Thanks, all! I didn't realize that they actually had the garment measurements. I'm a petite rectangle with apple tendencies, but I still may give those dresses a try ; )

Echoing others' comments: do go by the individual measurements they provide for each garment, in each size, not by the overall size of the garment. Paralleling Dashrashi's comments about their clothes working best for pear-shaped bods, I have found their woven tops to run snug through the shoulders (I'm broad-shouldered), so bear that in mind if it's an issue for you.

I've also found them to be quite accurate with their body/garment measurements, particularly since they started using US sizing. One note: if you are ordering a skirt, make sure to actually measure the length on you compared to your old skirts. I ordered a regular (non-petite, non-mini) pencil skirt earlier this year, and it was *insanely* short. I returned it for a Tall size, and am still thinking about having it lengthened slightly.
Also, the knits I've ordered through Boden have stretched out about half a size, so I'd size down for knits.

I haven't bought from them since they started using U.S. sizing, but they used to say that their size 8 was equivalent to a "U.S. 0 through 4." Don't think so! They were closer to a 4, running very large.

This might have changed with the new sizing, though.

I usually wear a US 6, but size up in Boden. The customer ratings have been helpful for individual garments, but its too early for the spring stuff. I was looking at the same dress. (2nd one) The necklines are often lower in person than they look online.

I had the impression that Boden used to run big, didn't they? Since these dresses are somewhat voluminous I would err on the smaller side and order a 4, since that's what you usually wear.

I've found that the garment measurements are extremely accurate to what you actually receive. It's best to compare it to something you already have that fits well to make sure which size you want. I've also generally found Boden to work best for the shorter-waisted and pear-shapes rather than rectangles or inverted triangles.

I'm thinking of buying these Boden dresses for summer (or at least one of them). But I'm wondering about sizes. The size chart suggests I should wear a US 6, but I normally wear US 4. Do Boden sizes run small?
