This is a beautiful colour on you, but I think it looks a bit big, not sure if it is the cut of the top or just you need to size down. If you are in hot weather, then a looser fit is more comfortable in the heat (most of my summer tops are roomy for this reason).

I agree that your top is very pretty. I hope washing it shrinks it just enough.

Very pretty colour and lace. Alterations will probably help with the size.

Thank you all for your input!

l looked at the model again and retried the top and I'm sure that the insert of the arm should be an inch or so further in on the shoulder. (sorry for my poor explanation!)

l decided to wash it and see if it shrinks. Alteration of sleeve length and torso is easy.

It wouldn't be so expensive to have it tapered a little at the waist and maybe have the sleeves shortened a little and seems like not so much trouble if you love it otherwise.

I don't think it's the shoulder -- it might have been better with some darts at the bust. I love the color and the lace, though.

Boden has got a lot of nice spring pieces -- I have a few on my considering list.

FWIW, I have had a Boden top shrink before. This one might. I like the color very much. If it was in my budget I'd be trying this top.

It looks very close so that sizing down may be too small. Is the top washable? If so, it may shrink just a bit. I love the lace and color.

I think you're on to something, Janet. If it was one «lace line» shorter at the bottom and sleeve, it might look less «heavy» and less roomy.

I wonder if it could pass the JFE test?

Hmm, it does look a little too roomy somehow. I think it's a combination of a little extra room in the upper chest, the length, and the roomy sleeve. I could be off base though. Pretty color!

This cute Boden top arrived today. I love the colour, lace and fabric. Well made and fun.

Cons: does it look too large in the shoulder area, where the sleeve is incerted? Should the insert be an inch or so further up on the shoulder?

My size is usually a M or sometimes S. In UK sizing that should be around 12, which is the size I ordered. Returning orders is costy and a hazzle because I'm not sure a size down will fit.

Not sure I explained it well, but hopefully you understand what I'm trying to say.
