I've found that V-necks don't work for me - they draw the shoulders in, which makes the whole silhouette look totally off. Personally, I prefer round or square necklines, in any case wider, plus I have preference for higher necklines too. </p> <p>Also, as hard as I tried to find a dress in softer fabric like jersey, it is simply too much tee-shirt-like, hence can't keep nice shape AND does not hold that pretty flared shape that the skirts on such dresses tend to have in the ads / catalogues. </p> <p>Look at it this way - this is another lesson in what does not work Equally useful as what does work for you. I have only placed one order with Boden, for a dress, and I loved it, except the colors were also way, way off. I also returned it - made me look very washed out. I've noticed that seems to be one of their biggest complaints from customers on the site - misrepresented colors. The Boden dress arrived half an hour ago and I had to try it on immediatly. But this will definitely go back. The colors are much darker than the picture suggested and it looks totally different. It also is too long on me (length, waist and sleeves). The petite may have been better, but I don't like it enough to try it. I also don't like the material, it is much thinner than I thought and very stretchy. </p>
