I recently bought some Zara kids items for myself, figuring it’s cheaper and the fit is close enough. But I was wrong! Proportions are too short and the quality is terrible— losing buttons and snaps all over the place. Lesson learned.

I agree with Sarah D8 I found Boden kids clothes a little on the narrow side,my daughter grew out of them when she was 9 and they are supposed to go up to 12yrs but I guess it depends on the build of the child.

In the larger sizes, I think mini boden runs a bit small and narrow, but not as small as Tea Collection. MB hasn’t worked for us for the past several years (my kiddo is 10) at least for bottoms. By the time the hems no longer drag on the ground, she can’t get them over her hips. But, my kiddo has proportionally short legs so ymmv.

Thanks so much for the info. My daughter and son are both quite big for their age so I size up hoping to get 2 years out of the garments... fingers crossed I chose correctly :)
I tend to use the clothes dryer too so we get some shrinkage.

Love MiniBoden! I would say true to size as well. We’ve only bought dresses, skirts and tops so far - no pants/leggings. My daughter (8 yo) is a bit tall for her age - especially in the legs. We’ve sized up (size 9-10) to try and get two years out of our Boden buys and it works.

TTS for the items we purchased, and great quality. Some t-shirts I bought for my older child have now been passed to my brother’s children. So, at this point, 4 kids have worn them, and they’ll probably make it to a fifth.

True to size, I've found, in the smaller sizes (no experience with larger sizes yet!). DS just turned 4 but is petite (38" and 30-ish lbs) and is just sizing out of the size 2/3 and into the 3/4. I love Mini Boden, right up there with Hanna Andersson and Tea Collection for kids wear: high quality fabrics, hold up to a lot of abuse, and really adorable designs. Mini Boden is my go-to for socks, undies, and swim trunks in particular (love the shorty swim trunks they do for boys -- so much better for swim lessons than the big baggy ones).

I buy Boden for my grandchildren. It runs true to size for both boys and girls. Beautiful clothes and they wear like iron. The kids love them and so do their parents!

Yes, lots of times and it runs tts in my experience, especially for younger children. I was careful though with looking at the measurements.

It also washed well and kept going. Boden were one of the few brands that did so well that they became hand me downs from DS to my sister's boys.
