The style of the top is pretty for sure; I can see why you like it.

I'm not that good at monitor colors, but on me the classic blush is too peachy and makes me look ill. Instead a grayed-mauvy blush is a great "light neutral" and it is a HEWI that I hunt for it all the time. It also goes better with my other colors in gray and burgundy.

If you try the top in various lights and it reads too warm, just walk away and your better colors will turn up.

It doesn't;t matter that I think it looks good on you. You don't, and that hesitation will most likely come to play later and you won't reach for it.

I noticed your hair seems lighter in the current pics than in the older photos you showed. I think that is weighing in, too (less contrast between top and hair). I don't think it looks bad at all, though!

I agree that your color is more like mine (skin tone at least) and it looks best with the more muted pink blush instead of the peach blush tones. I have a blush top nearly identical to the first one and never wear it because it's just not right in color for me. I have a more pink toned one that I really do like. I have a hard time choosing online blush because it's harder to judge what it will really look like.

I do really like one I got recently from jcrew that is gray/pink/blush mix.

Rabbit, I've never tried the color theory thing . . . it boggles my mind honestly. My hair is lighter now but skin is paler so I think it's a moving target? I wear jewel tones mostly.
Weird, I assumed blush just was 'my' color, didn't think twice that it could look off since all my other attempts had been a similar tone.

EDIT: I was thinking back on a true ballet pink sweater I used to wear but recently purged. I liked that color on me, too. I think Tulle has hit the nail on the head with the cool undertone being key. Never thought too much about warm vs cool tones but I suppose that is my answer.

You know I think it looks good, it looks a bit paler and pinker than the other tops, but provides more of a skin tone contrast that way (which can be a good thing in my book). What is your color season? Do you know or find that sometimes a useful tool?

Mo, it is hard to tell in the photos but I like the new top and think the color looks good on you, especially if you are careful to add a little extra color with makeup until you have more of a tan. I think a peach can actually enhance a bit of tan, at least it seems to on me, giving a healthy glow. It can also serve as an interesting neutral.

Mo, I think you've simply discovered that you are a cool-toned person who looks much better in cool rose blushes and taupes than in warmer, peachy shades. I do, too, and whenever I've been drawn to some pretty face-powder blush blouse, I've ended up regretting the purchase and never wearing it. For some of us, that yellow undertone is just toxic. The other tops you've shown look really wonderful on you (especially love that jacket) and there seem to be some nice things out there now in the rose-taupe range, so why try to force it? I would return it and keep looking for your best blush.

I have several blush tops I love on me (5 - 8). Ordered this one and noticed straight away it is less taupey or more peachy undertoned than the rest. Decided to try putting on some face makeup and getting in bright sunlight to see if it works. At first I thought I looked a bit sallow in it but now I don't know. Another thought - maybe my FL tan affected how I felt in blush before?? But then again, the last 2 pics are Tahoe winter so I dunno. Hmm.
