Oh I love these! I can't pick a favourite: you went from a bit preppy/classic to luxurious (and I see the Edwardian) to artsy without missing a beat. :)

I didn't see that discussion you mention, but I love combining tones of blue together! I admit I still wouldn't wear a blue denim top with a blue denim bottom, but as long as the fabrics are different, I don't see the problem.

Also, I hate that mary janes are so strongly associated with little girls. :/ They're a lovely, comfy, practical shoe style. Why must that be childish?! (Of course, many of my favourite clothing items have childlike associations, so perhaps I get more frustrated than most.)

These are all smashing! I too wear head to toe navy....you look great in it and the brown boots set it off perfectly. You are glowing in cobalt!

Thank you thistle, and yes I do love royal purple.
Deb, I am definitely either a dark or a bright winter - at least in the winter. In the summer, I get rather golden and flirt with dark autumn. But as I age, my hair is turning silver and my skin rather ashy ..., I think I'll eventually end up a bright winter.
Peri, thank you, yes, cobalt/sapphire is what I think of as my soul color, if that makes sense.

I usually jump right to the pictures, and then go back and read...and when I saw the cobalt top my thought was that it just lights up your whole face and you look great in that color! So I agree...buy lots of cobalt!

MuseumGal, I do believe you are a Winter of some sort. I am a Dark Winter (had my colors done in August) as I can wear cobalt well also. You might be able to find some of these colors in your closet.

I peeked at the Pics before reading. Naught, I know, I know. I was stunned and blown away by you in cobalt! I had to go back through again and read your post, and yes, i can see y you want to live in cobalt!

Your coloring is so different from mine that I can't give suggestions rooted in experience, but I wonder if you could do other deep rich colors. Magenta. Royal Purple. Etc.

There was a conversation yesterday about weather or not it was OK to wear a blue top with blue jeans. I do this all.the.time. Head to toe blue is all but a signature look for me, as seen in Pics 1 and 3.

1 - The last of my pilfering from the husband - this heathered blue cashmere pullover is heavenly, but my allergy sensitive skin requires a layer underneath, so worn over a light blue linen blouses. Navy skinnies and brown riding boots and a navy Macintosh over it all. Should have used a longer chain for that ammonite pendent, but otherwise, I liked this a lot.

2 - Third wearing of husband's grey wool pullover that I've simply decided is now mine! Worn over a LS T with black skinnies and my "newsboy" laceup boots. Over it all is this teal velvet blazer, which I never wear b/c it's too big ... even with the bulky underlayers you can see it's too big, but it makes me feel so ... decadent and 70s-tastic that I didn't care. I was actually going for a sort of Edwardian feel with the velvet and boots, but hey, I'll take 70s. Worn with faceted quartz beads and a blue floral hair scarf, which I didn't actually like with the outfit.

3 - This pic makes me want to throw out my entire wardrobe and just wear cobalt only and forever. The baggy tunic over navy skinnies isn't a wildly flattering silhouette on me as it emphasizes my top-heavyness, but who cares, the color make up for all shortcomings, even the fact that I'm too damn old for pigtails and mary janes (they are navy Docs and so wonderfully comfortable that I can't give them up). Also wearing one of my favorite necklaces, this lapiz choker, and favorite earrings (hummingbird skulls). Black cord jacket for outerwear.

Comments and suggestions always welcome.
