Wow, so many gorgeous booties on this thread, I love each and very pair here! The NeO pair you are keeping in #2 as stunning. Since those are shiny, I would be inclined to go for the suede in #4 (Demielle), but the other pair is lovely as well, so i do not think you could go wrong either way. Finally, I am completely in love with the R&B burgundy pair and vote keep if the budget allows. They are breathtaking and a girl can never have too many shoes, right?

I'm sorry that the Church booties don't fit. Those are so beautiful. I've been looking at blue boots myself. I bought the Sam Petty in ink last year, but they actually seem too bright. I feel like rubbing dirt or something on them to tone them down. These three from Zappos are ones I didn't know if you had seen. They might not be RATE for you.

Yep, square toes are making a comeback. I've been checking out some boots online and noticing that. But I wonder if they'll wane just as quickly as they did last time around.

Gah, I love Laurence Dacade boots.

The suede ones remind me of Laurence Dacade boots. Which I love. So they get my vote.
I don't think the square toe is dated, it just doesn't seem like you. In fact I just looked and there are quite a few designers doing square toed boots this fall.

My faves are the NeOs; what an incredible find.

i also really love the suede, which have a beautiful modern refined look.

I don't even know what to say about the maximal R&Bs, which are so WAY out of my personal zone!!! but if you have the room for them in your closet and love them, why not?

The Rag and Bones are beautiful and very cool and very you, but they are not blue. (To state the obvious.)
So you're wanting a refined pair and a casual pair in blue--is that it? Because I might just go with the ones you chose--NeO shiny ones. Those are awesome.
The others are so different from each other, it's very hard to choose. Different vibes and all. The square toes are eye-catching and retro looking. The suede are more an updated classic look. I kinda lean toward the funkier square-toed ones for you, because you wear statement footwear with such style and confidence. (Case in point: the not-blue R&B boots!)

Hmm stylistically I like the suede pair in #3 but practically I don't know that it's The Best option. Although if you keep #2 then you've got a patent pair for rainy days The shiny pair in #3 could be a nice refined option over the pair in #2 when you want sleeker (if it were for me I'd go with the patent in #3, if that helps). The R&B Burgundy boots are super!

I was going to tell you to check out ShoeScribe, Yoox's sister site, but when I went to get the link, it seems they've gone out business. Too bad -- they had some good merch and their sales were excellent.

Ooh, they're all really nice. Too bad the Church's don't fit because they are classic yet really cool.

Of the two in #3, I have a personal preference for the suede. Part of that is because, ooh, suede. I also like the buckles -- they just feel more refined and maybe less likely to look dated quickly than the square toe.

And yes, those merlot boots are AWESOME! You need those too. I'm going to live vicariously. The only booties I've bought for the upcoming season are those inexpensive Topshop floral booties and now you're making me want to shop, darn it. ;-)

I agree that you should pick the most comfortable pair. The pair with buckles is nice but might feel limiting if you like to match your metals in an outfit.

I'm at the beginning of a staycation and have time to put 'pen to paper' to enlist your patient guidance...

I love blue and this is my year of dark blue (apparently). I bought the long ink rag & bone gillet (out for alterations at the mo) and have half a dozen thin merino pullovers as FFB options for cooler days. Boring perhaps, but simple, comfortable and flattering. The one article in the colorway that has eluded me is the 'perfect' blue bootie, so I was jazzed when I hit the jackpot while browsing on Yoox recently. Well, a giant box of blue booties showed up a few days ago (see Finds) <3

The easy NO was the beautiful cobalt and black ombre Church's chelsea, which were too small and no bigger options available [Pic #1]. As well made as they are, they'd last for years.

The easy YES was the pair of navy to black ombre patent leather NeO chelseas. Gorgeous depth of color, comfortable with nice foam lug sole, will work in the rain and go with everything [Pic #2].

The debate is between the two navy, block heel, taller shaft booties, that I intend to wear with that perfect pair of cropped flares in a dark color (when I find them or cut up my own). The options are between an Islo Isabella bootie that is part smooth leather and part patent, has a cool diagonal side zip and a square toe. These feel more fashion forward of the two, to my eye. I'm slightly worried that the very smooth leather shaft will scuff easily though. The competitor is a lovely suede boot from Deimille with two belts with silver buckles on the shaft and a slightly higher heel. These heights all work for me, but overall comfort will ultimately be a deciding factor. Below are some hastily styled, weird expression pics of me wearing both, one on each foot (which gives me a distinct limp). [Pic #3]

Then, while in the midst of this conundrum, a 'non-blue' pair arrive. These are a gorgeous patent, tall shaft, merlot, lace up, stompy bootie from rag & bone. This is a colorway that enhances my facial redness, so wearing it on the feet is best for me. They are certainly maximal, as the trend entails, and would be the focal point of any outfit. Lest you worry, they are very walkable. They're only 2.5" with the platform and have good flex in the forefoot, which can be a problem with platforms and is something I find excrutiating. I have tried them with a pair of moto ponte/leather pants and harems, for your consideration. Notice I lemming'd Una's H&M floaty shirt (high five UWPs!).[Pics #4 & 5]

Thanks for getting this far (phew!) and if inclined to opinion, please chime in!
