How about some statement earrings to draw the attention up, away from your midsection? How about...
http://www.asos.com/Just-Acces.....clr=Silver

For necklaces, I'd suggest a princess necklace, one that hugs around your collarbone, so that it wouldn't interfere with the cute bow. Something like a simple necklace with a pendant..?

What about layering it under a sleeveless dress? Or wear it tucked or untucked over trousers. or a pencil skirt. I would wear it over wide-leg denim with pointed toe shoes, myself.

I also tend to buy tops that have banded waist and they add shape to my waist and hips. I think it would go with flared as well as skinny jeans since those banded waist will give you shape.

Have you considered a high-waisted skirt? I often wear one with this type of top

Great suggestions from the lasses. I also like the idea of pairing this blouse with a fitted pencil skirt. Or how about clamdiggers?

I think you just need to try it with some body-conscious pants, either skinnies or slim bootcuts, to show you do have a figure. Let us see it on you!

I think with your height that some straight-legged or flared bottoms will balance the blousy top. Also, heels or wedges to keep the long-line going.
I like the idea of a long pendant necklace, too - to draw the eyes up and down.
It's a really pretty print top so keeping the bottoms plain and dark should keep the focus on it.

If it's not too warm, how about adding a cropped cardi or jacket, worn open to show off the blouse but with enough structure to nip in at the waist? Or maybe try a vest instead, again worn open? The idea is to nip into the waist at the sides and maybe back, but let the front stay flowy enough to obscure...

Another way to 'point' to your waist might be with a long pendant necklace. The V shape can be used to suggest hourglass-ness too, though in this case you'll have to watch out for competition with the bow. Would you care to try tying it like a tie instead?

Yet another idea would be to use a cross-body bag to 'contain' the billowing below the bust, without interrupting the flow over the abdomen!

I love it! Because it has the banded waist, it will still give you shape - the banded waist just moves the illusion of hourglass to a different spot. It can be really flattering optical illusion.
Angie did a blog post on banded waist tops two years ago (I have no idea of date) or so and it convinced me to try them. Works well for short waisted/want to hide belly me

Its hard to say without seeing it on but I would say if you wear it with bootcuts or flares it should take away from the rectangle aspect. You are tall so you should be able to pull it off.

Hey everybody! I have two blouse fit questions I have questions about. I have this adorable bunny hop blouson blouse (say that five times fast) from eShakti. It is a very flowy crepe material. I am tall, plus-sized, with a short waist and a figure-8 shape; this is good for obscuring the postpartum pudge in front, but the nice little dip in my waist is completely gone and I am afraid I will look like a rectangle from the bust down. I want to take a photo of me wearing it but I can't right at this moment, so I will ask... how can I make this work for me? Or is this one of the no-go items for my shape? Thanks!
