I like the pattern - very fun. I like it closed but think it is too short with pants. Perhaps you could try it with a skirt and see if that works. I feel your pain on tugging. I just released many lovely blouses because they were too short.

I think the blouse is a little short for pants in general. What about trying it with a skirt next time? I'm guessing you're more into pants, with young'uns at your knees, but a denim pencil or a knit with some flair could be great for spring and summer.

Love the dark wash of the jean, and I think the t-neck is a marvelous fit.

I wore it closed but next time I will wear it open. I felt like I was tugging on it all day, and Charmian saw what I was seeing but couldn't name!
What a fun pattern! I'm glad you have a chance to enjoy it again after such a long break.

To be honest, I'm a closed-blouse kinda gal, but you're 100% on the spot in noticing that the L&Ls are too low in the rise to make it work closed. So I guess I'm voting for wearing it open ... or trying it with a trendy pair of high-waist jeans!

I like it without the blouse. But if I had to choose I'd say closed.

I'm going out to run a few errands with the boys in tow. I pulled out an old work blouse that I haven't worn in over 2.5 years! I always loved it though. It's too short on its own. I've layered it over a turtleneck and am wearing with my new L&L Gap jeans. The sleeves have this wonderful flair at the wrists that I just adore, but you can't see it very well in the photos.

I'm trying to decided whether to wear this open or closed. No belts! I do still have a defined waist, which shows up with the blouse open, but again, it's hard to see that in the pictures. What do you think? Yay for open, nay for closed.

p.s. I'm pre-makeup and hair in these pics :-)
TIA!
