Wow, thanks. I bookmarked the Judi Dench post fo go back to it over and over.
I never thought of princess Diana as having little waist definition - probably because she didn't try to hide it under layers? There's a lesson here, I feel.

I don't have much of a waist either, and as I read about what works and what doesn't, I realized that most flattering things in my wardrobe follow the same "rules" that she give for Judi Dench! 3/4 length sleeves, open v-neck, less volume, hint of a waist cut into the shape of the top or dress....she explains it all so clearly. Neat!

Wow, I love her obsessively detailed analysis and VISUALS! This post on hem length and calves was amazingly helpful:

This is especially useful for women who have no waist. I was reading comments earlier on another blog and someone mentioned that Claire Kennedy has good information with photos explaining what works and what doesn't.

http://clairekennedydesign.typepad.com/

Scroll down through the February posts and her analysis of Dame Judi Dench's hits and misses with her no-waist body.

It's all about proportion and fit. I'm going to have to read all her blog posts.
