We may be several states apart, but share very similar scenes. We have one track from the top of a ridge down across a field to another tree line. It looks like some poor heavy creature was dragging itself across the snow and was belly deep.<br /> Yes, it is time to be aware of the bears again. We gave up on bird feeders after finding 2 destroyed and sighting 3 bears on our property. One refused to leave and stretched out in our front field for hours and was still there when darkness settled. It made me anxious, wondering if it was hunkered down for the night. (groan)<br />&nbsp;And your back door- front door (and garage door for us) just made me give an knowing smile.&nbsp; Our lawn usually looks like 100 kids have run around in the snow- but it is all deer- whole herds! But you are right- after all the snow we have had-the lawn is pristine and free of deer tracks (poor things don't need broken legs).&nbsp; Keeping the bird feeders snow free and filled has been a challenge this winter but they might be coming down soon- some locals have bear sightings so they are starting to wake up.&nbsp; Now hubby and I will have to be careful on our daily walks-again! And for folks reading- I only live 2 hours out of NYC- this is not exactly "the country". The splashes of red made me happy. I ended up wearing the sweater (and socks with the flats) to make sure I was warm enough. I did carry the red bag, but all it did was hang out under my desk all day.</p> <p>Oh Staysfit, you have a LOT of snow! I hope you got it all cleared up and made it to work safely. IKWYM. We haven’t seen any deer, coyote or turkey tracks since the blizzard. Maybe all your snow melt so shoveling won’t be necessary.</p> <p>Barbara Diane, good question! Our front door door opens in and is protected by a large covered porch. Some snow does blow up against the door, but opening it is easy. The back door onto our terrace opens out from a screened porch. If I can’t budge the door open enough to squeeze myself through (which I couldn’t yesterday), I have to haul myself and my shovel through the snow around the house to the back door. I try to stick close to the house, because often the snow isn’t quite as deep there. Then again, sometimes I encounter a massive drift and have to struggle around it. I’m sure it isn’t pretty. Thank goodness my life is not on a reality tv series.<br /> Today I have playground duty, so I am packing my snow pants and praying that no little ones get stuck or lose a boot in the snow. Tomorrow’s outfit is blizzard inspired. I know, you are probably thinking, “Winter white”. Not quite. What I saw inspired me to go black and white and red all over.<br /> Pic 1 was my inspiration.<br /> Pics 2-5 are options. I will wear the black pants and geometric top, then add on some red. I may have to wear socks with the flats, but they won’t show much, due to the pants being long.</p> <p>Thoughts? Comments? Need help shoveling?
