Nanette Lepore blazers fit me best of any I've tried. She does tend to favor slightly retro, shrunken styles though so you may not be able to find something like a BF blazer. Sounds like you are after the shorter styles though so definitely give her blazers a try.

Consider taking a look at Boden's jackets. I'm not quite petite, but am an hourglass with a short waist, and they fit me very well with nice waist definition.

I think with the fit for petite hourglasses, your shoulder line is key. A strong shoulder is going to amplify any jacket, no matter how nicely made. Your petite torso is going to compress the line that's already curvy with your waist and hip line.

I'm this way too, and stick to vintage jackets (when small women were the norm) or softer fabrics that drape well. Otherwise I just look upholstered Think of a thick tweed on a Barbie doll ....

Shop, shop, shop and know that early fall fashions are skewed toward traditional, which is usually not our best design line. I find my best jackets in the bridge seasons. Happy hunting!

Came back after checking the closet! White House Black Market fit curvy petite and Halogen from Nordstrom, also recommended by Linda.

90% of my blazers are Ann Taylor and LOFT petite. A few GAP and Banana Republic petite, but those are typically slightly longer, which work better with pants than skirts. I've had some luck with Halogen petites from Nordstrom too. Ann Taylor, LOFT, and Nordstrom are good at giving length measurements on their websites.

I've had good luck with Vince Camuto in both regular sizes and petites and Ann Taylor petites.

Are there any petite, curvy hourglasses out there? Where do you buy blazers? I'm looking for something I can put on over either a dress/ skirt or jeans. I'm 5'3", with a more than 10" difference between hips/bust and waist, I know from past experience that any blazer longer than about 22" swamps me, and 20-21" is probably better still. But most of what I see out there now seems to be 24"+ long, and a lot of it skews boxy.

Any suggestions of where to look? I'd be grateful.
