I didn’t do anything to protect it. I just inspected the blazer now (brooches off) to see if I could see any damage. I could make out tiny pin holes where the brooches were. But they are very hard to see. It helps that the blazer is black of course. Probably a good idea not to leave the brooches on for too long or they might leave more permanent marks. And I wouldn’t try it on a velvet or satin blazer. My blazer is a woven wool and seems to be able to take it.
