I appreciate all the supportive replies, and now blessings from the pontiff of our community (just a little joke for us Catholics, waiting for pope news). I would say it is a bracelet length, although I may take to a tailor, there is about 1.5" hem on the sleeves, and the lining is polyester so perhaps a bit of fabric could be inserted to make a false hem. Well made jacket - it even has elbow darts! But lengthening the sleeves could change their placement I suppose, so will get an expert consultation. I can return it for store credit. Can't size up. I can button it but it looks awful, and I have only ever seen these jackets styled open.
