Zoiechic has a great suggestion about investing in a quality jacket like one from Theory. How about something in a winter white? It is a seasonless neutral.

Hmm, what are your wardrobe colors and are you thinking of a dark neutral or a medium- light? For example, black and navy- darks; gray, camel, tweeds are lighter. So if wearing s lot of black lands I go lighter, etc.
Do you know what brands " get you" in terms of shoulder and bust fit?
Are you somewhere you could do retail research in stores and then stalk something?
Ann Taylor, Banana Republic have blazers; Dept stores may carry mid range Calvin Klein or Vince Camutoband others. I find an item at TJMaxx once in a blue moon but they don't have a reliable selection.
Also there are suit jackets vs blazers and some mix and match better than others. I have trouble using some same blazer for pants and skirts but not everybody does.

I think theory blazers are generally thought to be good quality, I personally do not have one though.

I am wanting to replace a beige blazer soon. In my climate blazers are year round wear except for 2 or 3 hot months. What would be a good classic style in a neutral color? It will be worn with dressier pants, maybe a knee length skirt or over a dress for business casual or business dressing. Also for something like a memorial service or funeral type event. I rarely wear blazers with jeans, but have had an occasion or so to wear one with black jeans. Thinking with all the sales and the sales in January may be a time to start looking.
