I think they would be great for sitting work. And they do seem to be &nbsp;back around in style, and look good when mixed with updated pieces and outfits. It's acrylic, but very good looking and the color is wonderful. Sadly, it is not right for the classroom! I felt like I'd been pushed onstage in a poorly conceived theatrical costume. It took constant pulling &amp; adjusting to keep out of the way. Not at all hands free for teaching. And I'm a big, tall(ish) woman! So right now it is at the tailor being cut into two wide, generous scarves for me &amp; a friend.
