Your comment has just made me realize that the white boots are my “replacement” for the metallic ones. It doesn’t seem like a 1:1 replacement, but either way it is light on my feet. Ada described this to me once when discussing gold (or other metallic) shoes—it works like a light color, because metallic and white both reflect light.
