Try Nordstrom's "Encore" area. Brands like Sematics and Caslon might work.

I don't think I fit as well into a woman's size as a reg. size 16. The pants I have tried with stretch seem do not seem to flatter my larger bottom half. I want something that fits but then drapes so that they don't look like they are large in the hip area and then go in towards the bottom by the lower leg...feel like that just makes me look bigger.

Hmm....I think the hardest part would be finding trousers that have no stretch to them. Have you tried Lane Bryant? Their clothing is nice quality and up to date. I have shopped there with my mother-in-law, mother, and 24 year old sister, and all of them have found something they liked. The only issue is I think all their pants have at least some spandex content to them.

Just had a frustrating shopping experience. I am a size 16 and looking for basic black pants with a flared leg in perhaps a wool crepe or other none stretchy fabric that is reasonably dressy. Would like to be able to wear them for both dress and casual wear, depending on tops, jackets I put with them. Tried B. Republic and A. Taylor and the cut is just too small. It seems if I go to the cheaper lines at Macys then the bottom of the pants have no flair to them. Same when I have purchased a woman's size 14, they are basically straight at the bottom which I don't think is stylish or flattering. I don't have an unlimited budget so hope to pay no more than 75.00. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
