I wear the lace top with a black camisole underneath - which is making the top look blacker than it needs to. I could make it less severe by wearing a nude camisole underneath. I always enjoy getting feedback from YLF, as it helps to improve outfits and get a better perspective on what works (and what does not)! It works so well with your colouring and I love how unexpected head to toe white is in cooler weather (when everyone, including me, is wearing dark colours). That CZ dress is a winner. (The black outfit is lovely too.) I have a knitted cream turtleneck dress that I sometimes wear with a cream jacket and camel boots in winter. I have to be in the right mood for it (the dress is fitted and the colour cream can really wash me out) but when I wear it I feel special as I walk around in a sea of black. I do agree that it is more flattering on me with my colouring, although the need to stay pristine does mean that black-out has some practical advantages. Mirjana - I hope your weather warms up very soon. Chris 987 - the white dress is a solid colour (with no side panels) but the photo does give that impression.  Celia & Vicki - glad you like both. Sisi - you are like Angie! The Cat - I had never heard of bookending before YLF, but it did explain why gold shoes have always worked for me. I am glad that you like them in this outfit. Approprio - it is strange that a white-out is unexpected, but black-out is not, that is an interesting point. I am glad that you like both. Angie - I had to laugh at your comment, a billion percent is a big margin! Jeanie - #3 is almost a summer uniform for me, a dress and shoes and I'm out the door. I am glad that you like it. It seems to really work with your hair color and gold accessories. Does that dress have side panels that are a little more beige than white? It looks like it does or maybe it's just shadows. I really like wearing one colour, which is a rather lazy formula for me, but I do like to add textural interest (hence the lace in the black-out and the faux leather in the white-out). I am interested to see which outfit you prefer, the black or white! Black-out: Lace top, black Karen Millen skirt, boots by Paul Green White out: Carla Zampatti faux leather dress (old), Strenesse jacket (old), top end light gold boots (but for the complete white-out I do wear my white boots).
