I own a Clarks pair very similar to this one and Angie's, only in a lighter cognac tone (that matches my lighter hair): and they are literally a wardrobe workhorse for me. Because of their narrow ankle line and simple, streamline shape, they flatter the leg the way a heeled pum does, only they are flat, which makes them comfortable and more dynamic. I love to pair them with leggings especially, but they also work with shorter hems. </p> <p>Brown was the right choice. The contrasting side elastic design creates a vertical line which is visually pleasing too.
