I think the lack of wear is two fold. I feel very conspicuous in something so bright seeming. I also have a t-shirt, leather jacket and scarf I wear regularly in a deeper darker version of the colour (which I love) and use those often. So maybe it's overwhelming to my mind.

On the other hand husband thinks they look great and there seem to be support for the colour here so I may hang fire and see if I reach for them over autumn. I can always dye them if not.

Thank you all for commenting.

What about a dark red or burgundy, which is supposed to be a big trend this fall/winter?

Some YLFers have dyed their jeans with great results (Carter, for one). On the other hand, I was walking through a store recently and saw a rack of jeans in a color similar to what you're describing (somewhat to my surprise).

I have a pair of jeans in that color which I was ready to donate, but now I'm going to wait a while longer and see if the color comes back.

If you decide to dye them, do you already have black jeans? If not, I'd dye them black. If you DO have black jeans already, either olive or grey would give you some great versatility in your denim capsule! Would one of them coordinate better with your current wardrobe?

Is there a reason they aren't getting much wear? All of the colors you just mentioned dying them would look lovely with the shade you described.

Hello all - it's my first post here

I have a pair of coloured jeans in a pinky hue (think faded wine) which aren't getting much wear right now.

I'm thinking of dying them, and my initial thought was black (because I love black) but I'm now wondering if grey or olive or something I haven't even considered yet might be better.

Any thoughts from you lovely stylish folks?

Thanks
